IS THERE REDEMPTION?

India being an agrarian country, around 70% of its people depend directly or indirectly upon agriculture. Farmers toil for long, arduous hours, feed the country but reap little for themselves. For Indian farmers, every day is a fight for survival. Most farmers live in dire poverty. Due to various reasons besides drought, crop damage, surging land prices, loans taken by farmers which they have been unable to repay, farmer suicides have multiplied at an alarming pace. Since the 90s until today, approximately 300,000 farmers have committed suicide.
