Shehla Rashid [1988] was born in Srinagar, Kashmir, India. She is an activist and a Ph.D. candidate at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where she led a movement for the release of students who were arrested on false charges for dissenting against the government. Her research interests intersect technology, society and policy. Shehla Rashid lives and works in Srinagar, India.
