MOVE LIKE A FLAME Michael Mao in conversation with the Editor

Michael Mao performed for renowned Judson choreographers for over ten years before choreographing over 60 works, which have been presented in New York, Boston, throughout the United States, Alaska, China, Paris, Oslo, Stockholm, Edinburgh, Calabria, and for Festival Internaciónal Cervantino throughout Mexico. He has choreographed for Hong Kong Ballet, Tennessee Children’s Dance Theater, and for the National Ballet of Kosovo. Critics have acclaimed his work and his dance company as “Exquisite,” “Innovative,” “Splendid,” “Dazzling, “Powerful.” He has been panelist for US Federal, NY State and NYC Organisations. Michael is one of the writers and facilitators of New York City Department of Education’s Blueprint for Dance.
