Thinking Imagination
– Alan Britt
An image entering the brain is much like a blade of sunlight entering a quartz crystal. This single beam of linguistic light refracts the entire brain to stimulate a myriad of neurons igniting nooks and crannies of awareness within the brain. These nooks and crannies illuminated by imagination allow us to explore our five senses, emotions and intellect, in order to expand our overall sensibility, awareness of self, and the universe. In short, imagination encourages poetic imagery to evoke intelligent emotions inside us. Indeed, emotions sometimes feel intelligent. So, through the miracle of imagination via poetic language [imagery in particular], we can combine our five senses with intellect to produce emotion that we emotively comprehend as intelligent emotions, and thus, a linguistic reality of sorts is born. Imagine!
